Apart from organising our own workshops and seiminars we’ve being renting our renovated retreat centre / workshop space for eurythmy, dance (butoh), acrobatic joga, drama improvisation, music and singing rehearsals and school retreats to various groups from the Czech Republic and from abroad since September 2016.
The hall/gym with a wooden sprung floor is 10 x 15m (+ stage 7 x 5m). It can be used for a variety of movement, drama and dance activities. The balcony around the main hall features an art & craft workhop and also a media wall with big screen and a white board.
The room beneath the stage can be used for wellness and features a small sauna facility.
The center has it own kitchen which can cater for up to 30 people and an accomodation capacity of 20 beds.

The prices depend on the length of duration and are negotiable but the basic rental fee is 5000 CZK per day for the use of the workshop space and 1000 CZK per person per day for board and lodging (accomodation and meals).

I have worked in many places all over the world, leading workshops, rehearsing or performing, but I find the space of the renovated Sokolovna, run by the Open Space, one of the most beautiful and functional places for work.
It has just the right isolation and tranquility, clear and pure design ready for your input and creativity, to be “painted”over by your body, voice as an empty white canvas. It is surrounded by nature. Every window frames the picture of a tree, a field, a small forest, or the little village it is in.
In the same time it has all the comfort so much needed for good and dedicated work, also inspirational for the space itself has with lots of different angles and levels. Beautiful rooms, bathrooms, an amazing kitchen, even a lawn and garden where we could work, eat or just sit and enjoy the starry nights or wide blue skies.

One week at Open Space change completely our quality of work. We’ve been leading a group of international performers through the journey of a Dance project named Apocalisse Nova since 2017. We were looking for a place able to welcome the people as well the intention of the theme we are working on. The silence of the place, the quality of the energy of the dancing room made it possible.
From the very first time I visited Open Space i could perceive the potency of the room, the balanced light entering the window, the calling of the green garden outside, the freshness of the air. My first night at Open Space offered me a restoring sleep and many dreams that inspired my work.
The architecture of the building is made for work and it is inspiring just being there. I appreciated the good quality of the rooms and facilities of the whole house – modern kitchen, dining room perfectly functional with the workshop activities, everything is clean and in perfect function.
I recommend the place to all the group like us who are looking for a silent and calm place to keep deeping the research of their work.
